Role based in Mumbai, develop the Institutional and FPI Clients Book reporting to the Head of the Global Business
Mapping clients across the firms focus set of geographies (EU, Asia, ME), proactively identify institutional prospects to help the firm conduct asset raising activities in each region
Attend client road shows and performance meetings to pitch the firms investment strategies to pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, family offices, private banks and other asset owners and gatekeepers across the focus set of geographies
Build a knowledge set of the clients investment style, portfolios and their views on India markets across equities, fixed income and alternative asset classes
Share the house views, seek the clients investments into India equities, Fixed Income, Credits, and AIFs either through sub advisory of portfolios or through product partnerships with asset managers, private banks and other large financial institutions
Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure timely submission of RFPs, marketing collaterals and mandate documents with the prospects
Actively support the Global Head in constantly developing the asset raising and fund launch strategy in key foreign markets across equities, fixed Income and alternative strategies
Role would cover few existing partners / clients and new client prospecting
Video Calls with clients across time zones (US, EU and Asia) can be expected in the current scenario, though in future anticipate some international travel for road shows and client meetings
Requirements:
Passion for India equity, fixed income or alternative strategies of investing with a habit of tracking either market segments for personal or professional investing
Highly motivated to identify new prospects, extrovert character, ability to work individually to develop a robust clients network with a flair to engage clients in fund related conversations
Masters degree in business, marketing or finance is acceptable, though pursuing various levels of the CFA Program or other relevant professional qualifications are viewed favourably
Institutional clients experience in asset management, securities firms, investment consultants, boutique AIF managers, standalone Real estate or Credit Managers
Understanding of Indian listed equity, fixed income and alternative asset classes (or either of them), ability to discuss portfolios and markets with prospects, basic knowledge of FPIs
Preparing management reports for business flows, peer comparisons, client views on Indian markets, funds and assessment of market flows into India
